How do lint removers work?

How do lint removers work?

There are two types of lint removers in the market. The most common type of lint remover in the market is the adhesive lint roller. The adhesive lint rollers, as their name suggests make use of sticky tape that would remove the fuzz on the surface of your clothing or bedding. The advantage of this kind of lint remover is that it picks up dusts, crumbs and hair. It is a perfect product for your bed sheet and pillow case.

Cleaning is easy for the adhesive lint remover (pictured above). Once filled with dirt and lint, the adhesive can be removed and cleaned. These are ideal for removing loose surface fluff or pet hair, but they don't clear the entire surface from fuzz and bobbles. If you wish to clear the entire surface, it's best to use lint removers that make use of blades to physically cut off and remove bobbles from the surface of the fabric.

Another type of non shaving type lint remover is a 'Fabric Comb' or 'Lint Comb', which removes the lint as you pull the comb across. These aren't effective at removing pills still attached to the fabric but can remove loose lint and pet hair.

Pictured above is the WonderLint which is a more sophisticated lint remover, making use of a motor and blades to cut and remove lint. Some are battery operated while others can be plugged in.
